Paintings by Rocco Albano

My paintings are done on canvas, board, and aluminum using a wide array of media including acrylic, spray paint, oil pastel, paint marker, enamel, digital output, and wall texture. I leverage techniques learned as a Graffiti artist, muralist, and artist trained in the use of acrylics. Some works incorporate the use of stencils. Each painting is an exploration of history or an autobiographical meditation of my lifelong artistic journey using surfaces and walls to tell a story. I strive to create the experience of being transported to an Aztec temple, industrial wasteland, roof top in Philadelphia, or graffiti emblazoned wall.
