In Philadelphia Graffiti writers chased the mythical forever tag. A tag, our mark that we had been here, preserved forever. Many decades after retiring from being a Graffiti Artist I still have a handful of forever tages in Philadelphia, most in the catacombs of the subway tunnels. But even these will be painted over, fade, or destroyed. In the end we were kids looking to be recognized, to imprint ourselves on eternity. Alas nothing lasts forever.
