Baroque Supernova - Aluminum Print

An interpretation of the last days of Caravaggio's life as he wandered the coast of Porto Ercole, Italy in July 1610 attempting to get back to Rome and be pardoned for the murder of Ranuccio Tommasoni in 1606. The three paintings he intended to barter for his life with the Vatican adrift on a boat that left him when he was locked up. His body breaking down from knife wounds sustained by the Knights of Malta for his betrayal of their order, feverish, and suffering from lead poisoning, he disappeared off the face of the earth.
